Nickelodeon Show Reboot
The Challenge
To Create a Three-Step End Page, for a Reboot of Any Nickelodeon IP from the 90’s or Early 00’s that has not yet been Rebooted.
Chosen Show: MY LIFE AS A TEENAGE ROBOT
When your main objective in life is to be the Earth's protector, other wants and needs of a typical teenager just have to wait. So goes the life of Jenny Wakeman, a sensitive high-schooler who also happens to be a state-of-the-art robot called XJ-9. The series revolves around Jenny's desire to do what she wants, like be a normal girl and spend time with her friends Brad and Tuck, instead of what she was created to do: stop the planet from certain disaster.

Pitch Ideas
Initial concepts with various approaches to the logo/title.
Designed in After Effects, Illustrator & Cinema4D w/ Octane.
Concept 1: 3D/2D mixed
This concept is adding the old with the new look of Nickelodeon. Mixing in some textural lines and accents to pay homage to the original show, but giving the new life of what Nickelodeon showcases today.
Concept 2: The Grid
This concept is a film approach with the aspects helping to create the sense of theme for the film. Combining elegant and graceful elements of ballet with the killer side of Rooney.
Concept 3: Abstracted Robot Parts
Taking a new perspective of the parts that create Jenny, aka XJ-9, and abstracting them to create unique compositions. Using the color palette derived from her in the show.
Selected Design but in 3D.
Concept 3: Abstracted Robot Parts REVISED
First Pass
Notes: Add in letter-by-letter animations to some words, especially the Nick logo. The 2D lines can be a slower, secondary movement. Maybe some background elements have a secondary movement. Watch the kerning of the letters. Have Animations be more playful than the show animation.

Typeface used: Blakely Light & Bold
Second Pass
Notes: Fixing the animation for 7:30/6:30c. Tighten the kerning on Teenage. Have the circuits always moving. Tear feels too flat. Have different 2D lines placement.

Notes: Check title action safe for the Tune in. Scale down the 7:30-6:30c. Change the transition between the Tune-in and Nick Logo.
